Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex in General Santos City - Philippines

The Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex is considered as one of the best dive sites within the waters of Sarangani Bay and divers who have actually been here cannot help but marvel at the beautiful marine life surrounding the area.
Location
The Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex is located about 31 miles off General Santos City in the village of Tinoto. From General Santos City, it will take you about 45 minutes to reach the village.
What to See
This dive site extends about 6 miles from the shore, with the topmost part of the Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex can already be seen within a few meters from the waters surface.
About 40 meters down, you can already explore the coral gardens here mostly soft corals, and giant fans plus you can see small reef fishes, feathers stars and sponges.
You may even come across a few rays like the Blue Spotted Rays and Eagle Ray, tuna, jacks, sea turtles, squid, and there are also wrasses, nudibranch, sea cucumbers, crustaceans, bump head parrotfish, hydroids, and tunicates! On occasions, you may also spot a Hammerhead shark.
Thats just a few of the sea creatures that you can spot when diving down the Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex; there are plenty others that you can spot. With all these beautiful marine life right within The Wall, it comes as no surprise that this dive site is a favorite among locals and tourists.
Depth/Level of Experience Required
The Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex has an average depth of about 40 meters and can go all the way down to about 130 meters up to 200 meters. The dive site is ideal for all types of divers, from beginner level to more experienced divers; but going down the depths is only recommended for Open Water and Advanced Open Water Divers.
For the more adventurous divers, a night dive will definitely enhance your diving experience of the Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex.
Cost
Diving down the Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex should only be done with an experienced guide, preferably a PADI-certified diver knowledgeable on this particular dive site.
Dive centers can provide you with the equipment and the divemaster to take you down the Tampuan/Tinoto Wall Complex; and the cost to dive this site may range from Php 1,800 for one night dive to Php 2,600 for two day dives.
The rates already include full use of equipment needed for the dive and the services of a divemaster.
