How It All Began

Saint Elizabeth Hospital Inc. started as a 25-bed capacity hospital, owned and operated by Dr. Jesus C. Veneracion, Jr. His aim was to provide medical facilities to residents and visitors of General Santos City since at the time of its conception, there were no medical facilities in the city.

From its humble beginnings back in 1962, the hospital now has three floors, upgraded medical facilities and forty new additional rooms, which were inaugurated some time in late March 2009.

The new rooms at Saint Elizabeth Hospital Inc. boast of modern facilities including a 24-inch flat screen television set, and some of the most modern hospital beds to date. The newly-added third floor also boasts of a wide, roomy lounge complete with comfortable lounge chairs and sofas.

Additional nurses and staff were also employed to provide their service to the hospitals newly-constructed floor.

To date, the hospital employs some one hundred and fifty nurses to help accommodate and care for all patients coming in.
