Cesma Cliff in General Santos City - Philippines
Of all the dive spots in General Santos City, the Cesma Cliff is perhaps one of the most interesting. This is because the Cesma Cliff is actually just that - a dive spot on a cliff. The Cesma Cliff is actually situated in Sarangani, which is not that far off from General Santos City. Traveling from the General Santos City to Cesma Cliff would also give the tourist diver a chance to view the Sarangani Bay along the way.
The trip alone to Cesma Cliff is already exhilarating as the tourist diver would already be able to see lots of beautiful sights, of people swimming, the wide stretch of white sand and azure beaches, and the deep blue sky above. After Sarangani Bay, one would then pass by Makar Wharf, which is one of the busiest seaports of the region. And then, once he passes by the wharf, he will get to see himself traversing through one of the most beautiful highways in the Philippines.
Once the tourist diver gets to Cesma Cliff, he will be thrilled to find that it is actually very much like a private cove nestled on top of a cliff that is about 30 feet high. Not only is it very peaceful when he gets to Cesma Cliff, his solitude and privacy are also very much guaranteed here. On top of that, diving on to the waters will unfold right in front of the tourist diver a whole host of marine wealth. Included in this are reefs upon reefs of corals, bursting with lots of tropical species of fish.
Of course, there will also be schools of the world famous yellow fin tuna of General Santos City, as well as hammerhead sharks and shoaling fish. Also, tourists who have gone to Cesma Cliff swear that it has the best collection of sea cucumbers and sea horses, the looks of which appear to be very far from the species that can be found in other countries of great acclaim for their beaches, such as Hawaii, the Virgin Islands, Florida, and Belize, and even Boracay. Another treat for the senses is the abundance of star fish in the area, all with varying shapes, colors, and sizes.
Now, since Cesma Cliff is actually a private property (it is owned by couple Noli and Celia Esma and has been developed as a beachfront hideaway), the tourist diver should expect the rates to be a bit steeper than those offered by the more public beach resorts.
